Shimano and Volcanic Epic will be delivering epic riding in spades this April, with athletes tackling 200km of trails in pairs or solo over four stages and a prologue.  “The geothermal plateau of Aotearoa New Zealand’s North Island offers unique, world-class and singletrack riding - so much so that only a stage race can really help you see it all” says Tim Farmer, Co-owner and Race Director. With a race each morning at a new location each day, there is plenty of time to soak up the local sights, attractions and culture too. “It’s ride, relax, repeat for sure.” continues Farmer, “some riders will head off seeking their next thrill such as go karting or rafting, but the more sensible ones will head off to a geothermal soak and a good feed ready for the next day”. Riders can take part in the five-day event as a pair or solo, or get a taste for stage racing with the two-day solo.
