We love Tokoroa: Stage 3 summary

Despite the setbacks, how good were the trails at Tokoroa? I wanted to follow up on Saturday's stage at Cougar MTB Park with a bit of an overview and thank you.

Many events are held in Tokoroa every year without incident, and know what happened is not representative of the Tokoroa community, the Tokoroa MTB Club or how the community wish to be perceived.

Thank you for your understanding in the delayed start time as the team and volunteers from our community, including Tokoroa MTB Club, salvaged the course. Our original route took over 32 man-hours to mark, so an incredible job was done by those out in the forest on Friday night, and first light on Saturday. We are grateful to all those who answered the call to assist (and your fully charged ebikes!).

We love Tokoroa, and a few bad actors will not stop us returning to visit, ride and host events in the future.

I hope you enjoyed the very first Volcanic Epic. We'll be returning 3-7 April 2024 bigger and better.
