You'll have a team leader, and get briefed so you have everything you need to have a great day. We have roles where you don't need to be very active such as our medal team, all the way up to cycling as a tail-end Charlie ensuring all our athletes are safe.

Course marshal
This role is the life blood of the event and is about being at a marshal point and directing the participants in the correct direction. You do not need to worry if you don't know where to go, we will transport you there or you can ride your bike.

Bike Tail-End Charlie
You do not need to be named Charlie for this role. You will get to ride the course of your choice tailing along behind the last athlete on course.

Finish line team
This is one of the most amazing experience you will have volunteering at the Volcanic Epic. Not only will you be awarding finisher medal and congratulating the rider who make it to the finish, you will also get to share in their emotional celebration of competing one of the toughest mountain bike events they have ridden.
