The Volcanic Epic is a destination event. Every day, we work to ensure you have time to go out and explore the region in between stages.
WHERE TO STAY.
To allow maximum good times, ensure you secure your accommodation early. It's where you'll retreat to rest and recover after each stage's course and afterparty. Check out accommodations options for Rotorua or Taupō.
Wednesday 3 April - Rotorua
Arriving early in the morning head to the Volcanic Epic Welcome Brunch and Powhiri before registering for your five or two day event. Once you've registered you're ready to take on your first race of the week; The Volcanic Epic Prologue Race. Afterwards, enjoy the sights of Rotorua, or even get a quick shinny (think hot tub for your legs) and a beverage from Secret Spot before checking into your accommodation for the night.
Thursday 4 & Friday 5 April - Taupō
Check out of your Rotorua accommodation on Thursday morning before arriving to the start of stage one. Once you have rolled over the finish line, chilled out, told some yarns... its now time to head to Taupō for the next two nights..
